Football Recap: DeLaSalle Islanders vs. Roosevelt Teddies
DeLaSalle took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They claimed a resounding 39-0 victory over the Roosevelt Teddies at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Islanders also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.
Anthony Starks II had a dynamite game for DeLaSalle, throwing for 299 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 15.0 yards per attempt. Andrew Apiagyei was Starks II's top target, picking up 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
DeLaSalle will face off against Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. DeLaSalle is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Roosevelt, they will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on Academy Force [New Life Academy/St. Croix Prep] at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Roosevelt will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
