Soccer Game Preview: McIntosh vs. St. Anne-Pacelli

The McIntosh Chiefs will face off against the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

McIntosh managed to keep up with Dalton until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. McIntosh lost 3-0 to Dalton. The loss was the Chiefs' first of the season.

Meanwhile, St. Anne-Pacelli unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of LaGrange by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Vikings couldn't quite close it out.

Having lost for the first time this season, McIntosh fell to 3-1. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went McIntosh's way against St. Anne-Pacelli in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as McIntosh made off with a 7-0 win. Does McIntosh have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. Anne-Pacelli turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
