Volleyball Recap: Providence Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Elizabeth Smyth and Brooke Huegel

Providence Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the North Branch Vikings.

Despite the loss, Providence Academy had strong showings from Brooke Huegel, who had 18 digs and two assists, and Elizabeth Smyth, who had nine digs.

Providence Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for North Branch, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Providence Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Rocori on the 11th. As for North Branch, they will head out to challenge Chisago Lakes Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
