Casa Grande put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Petaluma Trojans. Given the Gauchos' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Trojans are ranked 355th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Casa Grande hit Petaluma with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Olivia Kiss, Ariadna Analco Ventura, and Ashley Melton.

Casa Grande pushed their record up to 5-0-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Petaluma, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 4-3-1.

Casa Grande will take on Sonoma Valley at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for Petaluma, they will face off against Piner at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Piner's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
