Recap: Round Valley Mustangs vs. Point Arena Pirates
The Round Valley Mustangs were the 42-41 winner over the Point Arena Pirates when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Round Valley took a 62-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Point Arena. Round Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Claudia Boggs, who scored 12 points. Josey Spurlock was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Round Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Point Arena, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-6.
Round Valley will be playing at home against Anderson Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Point Arena, they will head out on the road to take on Laytonville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
