Soccer Game Preview: Upland vs. Etiwanda

Upland hasn't had much luck against Etiwanda recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Upland Highlanders/Scots will head out on the road to challenge the Etiwanda Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Upland had just enough and edged Los Osos out 3-2. That's two games straight that the Highlanders/Scots have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Etiwanda entered their tilt with Rancho Cucamonga on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 3-0 shutout. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by three goals or more this season.

Upland's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-7-1. As for Etiwanda, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3-2 record this season.
