Softball Game Preview: Calhoun City Wildcats vs. Eupora Eagles

The Calhoun City Wildcats are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge the Eupora Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Calhoun City can't be too happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Saturday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Houston.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Eupora's offense. They fell 3-0 to Caledonia on Saturday. The Eagles have struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Calhoun City suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Eupora in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
