Baseball Recap: Green Run Comes Up Short

Green Run lost to Salem back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stallions fell 7-4 to the Sundevils.

Skyler Blarek spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, CJ Jones was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Tameron Campbell, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Green Run's record is now 0-21. As for Salem, with the win, they broke their 13-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-17.

Green Run does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Salem, they will take on Kellam at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sundevils are on a six-game streak of home losses, and the Knights a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck.
