Basketball Recap: Valhalla Skates Past Mount Miguel with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Valhalla's strategy against Mount Miguel on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Valhalla Norsemen blew the Mount Miguel Matadors out of the water with a 50-20 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Norsemen had established a 23 point advantage.

Valhalla's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Songoli EkwoSi led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 22 boards. Ekwosi has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last ten times she's played. Lilly Dallo was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 19 boards.

Valhalla smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 40 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
