Football Recap: Mt. Pleasant Takes a Loss

After flying high against Nacogdoches last Friday, Mt. Pleasant came back down to earth. The Mt. Pleasant Tigers came up short against the Hallsville Bobcats on Friday, falling 33-7. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Carter Cook threw for 146 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 52 yards. Bj Brannon was his top target, picking up 59 receiving yards.

Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Hallsville, their record now sits at 4-6.

Mt. Pleasant does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hallsville, they will square off against Port Neches-Groves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
