It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Omaha Westside ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Papillion-LaVista South Titans  6-4. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered  an  8-5  loss the last time these two teams met.
The team  relied heavily on  Baylee Heffernan, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. She also put up a  double, which was her first of the season.  Manuela Kate was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run.
