Baseball Recap: East Jackson Finds Playoff Glory Versus Franklin County

With a playoff win on the line, East Jackson rose to the challenge on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Franklin County Lions 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since March 12th.

Warren Hilley tossed a big game, tossing 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, Hanseong Kang was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Bryse Patterson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

East Jackson's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-16. As for Franklin County, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-9.

As of now, neither East Jackson nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
