Basketball Game Preview: Wyalusing Valley Rams vs. Towanda Black Knights

Wyalusing Valley hasn't had much luck against Towanda recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wyalusing Valley Rams will welcome the Towanda Black Knights at 7:15 p.m. Wyalusing Valley will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Wednesday, Wyalusing Valley earned a 40-27 win over Athens.

Meanwhile, Towanda won against Sullivan County on Monday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. Towanda walked away with a 65-52 victory over Mansfield. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Black Knights.

Wyalusing Valley's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Towanda, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Wyalusing Valley skirted past Towanda 42-40 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will Wyalusing Valley repeat their success, or does Towanda have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
