Echols County proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by four) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the Irwin County Indians 4-3. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Echols County now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Irwin County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Echols County will challenge Lanier County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Echols County will be up against Lanier County's rather soft defense (which has allowed eight goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
