Rodriguez entered their tilt with Wood on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Wood Wildcats onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by just one goal.

Rodriguez's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Wood, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3-1.

Rodriguez will face off against Vanden at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rodriguez's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Wood, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Vacaville at 7:00 p.m. Wood's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
