Baseball Game Preview: McDonough Warhawks vs. Locust Grove Wildcats

McDonough is 0-4 against Locust Grove since March of 2015 but things could change on Monday. McDonough will face off against Locust Grove at 5:55 p.m. McDonough has given up an average of 13.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

McDonough is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Ola, falling 13-1.

Jonathan Anderson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Locust Grove made easy work of Eagle's Landing on Friday and carried off a 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.

The win got Locust Grove back to even at 8-8. As for McDonough, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

McDonough might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Locust Grove when the teams last played back in March of 2016. Can McDonough avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
