Recap: Central Bobcats vs. North Canyon Rattlers
If the Central Bobcats were feeling good off their 97-63 takedown of the Fairfax Stampede last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Central was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 71-70 to North Canyon. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aligo Banja, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Banja hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Sabih Almasri, who scored 19 points.
Central's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for North Canyon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.
Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Canyon also has no future games currently scheduled.
