Volleyball Recap: Elkin Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Elkin had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 5-11 to make it four. They came up short against the Ashe County Huskies, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

As for Ashe County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0).

Carly Goodman was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had eight digs and four aces. Those four aces gave her a new career-high. Autumn Barker also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Elkin has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Hibriten on the 24th. As for Ashe County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against North Wilkes on the 25th.
