Softball Recap: Eugene Drops Season-High Score on New Bloomfield

Eugene had lost four straight, but after bumping their record up to 4-6 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the New Bloomfield Wildcats as they made off with a 19-3 win. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for New Bloomfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For New Bloomfield's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Heather Patten, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another was Delaney Smart, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eugene will welcome Hallsville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Bloomfield, they will square off against Fatima at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
