Baseball Recap: Classical Takes a Loss

Classical and Woonsocket squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Classical had to settle for second. They lost 12-1 to the Villa Novans. The Lady Purple/Athena have struggled against the Villa Novans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Classical saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marlowe Warren, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Classical's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Woonsocket, they pushed their record up to 21-0 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Classical nor the Villa Novans have any future games scheduled.
