Baseball Recap: Southwest Comes Up Short

Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Washington County Golden Hawks, falling 22-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 22-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Washington County, they pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Golden Hawks beat Southwest by a score of 12-0 later that day.
