Soccer Game Preview: Central Georgia Arts vs. Gatewood

Central Georgia Arts will take on the Gatewood Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Central Georgia Arts has five straight wins, Gatewood has 13 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Central Georgia Arts barely beat Trinity Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Central Georgia Arts' defense stepped up to hand Trinity Christian a 4-0 shutout on Saturday. The result was nothing new for Central Georgia Arts, who have now won 11 matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Gatewood fell victim to St. George's and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Athletes, falling 5-0.

Central Georgia Arts pushed their record up to 12-4-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five games. As for Gatewood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.
