Baseball Recap: Mays Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mays had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Madison Prep Academy 7-5.

LaMarquis Sandifer and Amarion Robinson did most of the damage at the plate: Sandifer scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Robinson scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Robinson is becoming a predictor of Mays' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 4-13 when he doesn't).

Mays' record now sits at 8-14. As for Madison Prep Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.
