Basketball Recap: Canyon Crest Academy Victorious

Canyon Crest Academy's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 72-59 win over the Fallbrook Warriors. This was a revenge game for the Ravens: when they faced off against the Warriors on December 11th, they had to take a 79-71 loss.

Fallbrook's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. What's more, Thomas also racked up three steals, the most he's had since back in February. Petey Pizzo was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Canyon Crest Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Fallbrook, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-4.

Canyon Crest Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-57 loss against Tri-City Christian on the 28th. As for Fallbrook, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 80-35 victory against Bourgade Catholic on the 28th.
