Basketball Recap: Merion Mercy Academy Comes Up Short

Merion Mercy Academy was the 41-30 winner over Sun Valley when they last played one another back in February of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Merion Mercy Academy Golden Bears fell to the Sun Valley Vanguards 44-38. The Golden Bears' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Merion Mercy Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Sun Valley, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-6 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Merion Mercy Academy will welcome Villa Joseph Marie at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sun Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Carver High School of Engineering & Science at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
