Recap: Rio Hondo Prep Kares vs. Polytechnic Panthers
The Rio Hondo Prep Kares won the last time they faced the Polytechnic Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Rio Hondo Prep walked away with a 36-29 victory over Polytechnic.
Rio Hondo Prep was led to victory by Avery Pollock and Sydney Diaz. Pollock dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds, while Diaz scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Rio Hondo Prep's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Polytechnic, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
Rio Hondo Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Chadwick at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Chadwick has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Polytechnic, they will head out on the road to face off against Providence at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
