Softball Recap: Wheeler County Comes Up Short

If Wheeler County was riding high fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Clinch County on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Panthers on Monday, falling 10-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since September 2nd.

Wheeler County's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Clinch County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheeler County will welcome Hawkinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Clinch County, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Berrien at 6:00 p.m.
