Softball Recap: Monroe City Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Monroe City challenged Highland on Monday. The Panthers lost 17-7 to the Cougars. The Panthers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Monroe City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Highland, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Monroe City will take on Clark County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.75 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Highland, they will square off against Centralia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
