Basketball Game Preview: East College Prep Spartans vs. Academia Avance Guerreros Jaguares

The East College Prep Spartans will face off against the Academia Avance Guerreros Jaguares at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East College Prep's defense has only allowed 22.8 points per game this season, so Academia Avance's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Thursday, East College Prep came up short against Alliance Bloomfield and fell 37-27. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Bulls recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Academia Avance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Collins Family, falling 60-14. The Guerreros Jaguares were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-6.

East College Prep will have to contain Stacey Guerero as she made an impact in Academia Avance's last game. She posted seven points and six boards. Yeraldin Colin was another key player, putting up seven points.

East College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Academia Avance, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
