Football Preview: Providence Grove Patriots vs. East Davidson Golden Eagles
The Providence Grove Patriots will take on the East Davidson Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Davidson took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Providence Grove, who comes in off a win.
Providence Grove is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 56-6 victory over Trinity. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Providence Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Flinchum led the charge by rushing for 146 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries. Flinchum got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 80 yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Jackson Lawver, who threw for 81 yards and three touchdowns on only six passes.

East Davidson's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Providence Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
