Softball Recap: Chattooga Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Chattooga's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Coosa Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 23-3 back in August.

Chattooga has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Coosa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Chattooga is set to square off against their familiar foe Fannin County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Coosa will take on rival Gordon Lee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
