Football Recap: Clarkson/Leigh Beats Madison for Their Second Straight Win

Clarkson/Leigh won the last time they faced Madison and Wyatt Crosley did his part to make sure it happened again. The Patriots took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-24 win over the Dragons with plenty of help from Crosley, who rushed for 168 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Brabec, who rushed for 58 yards and one score. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making two total tackles.

Madison's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bodonn Sweeney, who rushed for 73 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and Izac Zautke, who picked up 51 receiving yards and one touchdown.

The victory made it two in a row for Clarkson/Leigh and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Madison, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Clarkson/Leigh will challenge Humphrey-Lindsay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison, they will take on David City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons will need to watch out since the Scouts have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
