Soccer Game Preview: Cherokee vs. North Cobb

Cherokee will head out to take on North Cobb at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Cherokee's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Cherokee fought the good fight in their overtime match against North Paulding on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Cobb, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Riverwood by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Tristan West had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble the Warriors got from the refs.

Andres Williams and Hamed Lemboye scored all three of North Cobb's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

North Cobb has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
