Soccer Game Preview: Roswell vs. Milton

The Roswell Hornets will take on the Milton Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Milton took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Roswell, who comes in off a win.

Roswell took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Johns Creek, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Roswell sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Johns Creek on Friday. That's two games straight that the Hornets have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Milton was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Riverwood who was credited with the victory. Riverwood got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Milton's three.

Milton's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Roswell, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Roswell couldn't quite get it done against Milton in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can Roswell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
