Soccer Game Preview: St. Francis vs. River City

The St. Francis Troubadours will challenge the River City Raiders at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Francis is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

St. Francis' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Davis Sr. The Troubadours' winning goal came courtesy of Sarah Bashore.

Meanwhile, River City's matchup on Tuesday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Pioneer. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Patriots are ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

River City's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three games. As for St. Francis, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
