Baseball Recap: Taylor County Takes a Loss

Taylor County and Trion squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Taylor County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Taylor County's defeat dropped their record down to 21-10. As for Trion, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

While Taylor County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
