Preview: Silverado Hawks vs. Granite Hills Cougars

Silverado is 9-1 against Granite Hills since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Silverado Hawks will look to defend their home court against the Granite Hills Cougars at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Silverado's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Granite Hills has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Silverado put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They really took it to Victor Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-41 win at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-12.

Elizabeth Udeze was her usual excellent self, scoring 27 points. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Belinda Rincon, who scored nine points.

Meanwhile, Granite Hills came up short against Victor Valley last Tuesday and fell 38-28.

Silverado is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Granite Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Everything came up roses for Silverado against Granite Hills when the teams last played on January 2nd as the team secured a 82-20 victory. With Silverado ahead 46-5 at the half, the match was all but over already.
