Basketball Recap: Strathmore Spartans vs. Bishop Union Broncos
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Strathmore couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell to the Bishop Union Broncos 30-26. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2017.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tannyr Ludwick, who posted eight points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Faye Spoonhunter, who put up two points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.
Strathmore's loss dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Bishop Union, they pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Strathmore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Union, they will challenge Rosamond at 10:00 a.m. on March 1st. Rosamond will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Bishop Union surely won't give up without a fight.
