Basketball Recap: Sam Mora and Harper Diaz Secure Win for Santana

After losing to Madison the last time they met, Santana decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Santana Sultans walked away with a 37-27 victory over the Madison Warhawks on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sultans.

Santana was led to victory by Harper Diaz and Sam Mora. Diaz posted 13 points in addition to five boards and five steals, while Mora put up 16 points and eight rebounds. Diaz continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lala Carreno, who earned six points.

Santana's record now sits at 16-4. As for Madison, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Santana will head out to face off against Mount Miguel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
