Soccer Recap: Menlo-Atherton Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Menlo-Atherton was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Menlo School Knights. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Menlo-Atherton's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Menlo School, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Menlo-Atherton and Menlo School should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Menlo-Atherton (ranked 413th) will meet Harbor (ranked 952nd) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Menlo School will square off against Carmel at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday up 502 places (262 vs. 764).
