Basketball Recap: Corcoran Takes a Loss

Corcoran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Righetti Warriors, falling 68-32. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 57-24 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Corcoran had strong showings from Natalie Luna, who posted 11 points and three steals, and Zoee Cabral, who had nine points and five rebounds. Luna is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season.

Corcoran now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Righetti, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Hanford West the next time they take the court. Righetti will head out to face Hanford West at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Corcoran will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
