Football Recap: Citrus Hill Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Indian Springs two weeks ago, Citrus Hill came back down to earth. The Hawks took a blow against the Moreno Valley Vikings on Friday, falling 42-7. The contest marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

John Guitron threw for 88 yards and one TD. Kalen Stephens was his top target, picking up 86 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Moreno Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Syree Matthews, who rushed for 102 yards and one score on only 14 carries, and also threw for 151 yards and one TD. Trevon Williams was in the mix as well, providing the Vikings with two touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, Citrus Hill fell to 5-1. As for Moreno Valley, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Citrus Hill wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 39-23 win against Perris on the 10th. As for Moreno Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 34-0 victory against Heritage on the 9th.
