Basketball Recap: Sneads Pirates vs. Franklin County Seahawks
Sneads lost against Franklin County back in February of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sneads Pirates fell 59-50 to the Franklin County Seahawks. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 512th, while the Seahawks are ranked 241st).

Loss or not, Sneads got some senior leadership from Michael Perkins and Mekhi Mcleod. Perkins posted 11 points and eight assists, while Mcleod went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perkins has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Williams, who put up seven points.
Even though they lost, Sneads was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Franklin County was led to victory by Ja'Michael Miller and Dre North. Miller dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards, while North dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave North a new career-high in points. Sadiq Jones was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.
Sneads is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for Franklin County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
