Sonoraville and Coahulla Creek are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2019, but likely not for long. The Phoenix will welcome the Colts at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sonoraville's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Coahulla Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Sonoraville came up short against Gordon Lee and fell 6-1. The Phoenix haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Sonoraville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Sitten, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Coahulla Creek got the win against Forsyth Central on Saturday by a conclusive 9-1.

Sonoraville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Coahulla Creek, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything went Sonoraville's way against Coahulla Creek in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Sonoraville made off with a 10-4 victory. Will the Phoenix repeat their success, or do the Colts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
