Basketball Game Preview: Westview Wolverines vs. Del Norte Nighthawks

The Westview Wolverines just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Del Norte Nighthawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westview will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Monday, Westview earned a 46-33 victory over Cathedral Catholic. The Wolverines pushed the score to 41-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Dons cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Del Norte). They managed a 58-52 win over Fallbrook on Friday.

Westview is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Del Norte, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-17.

Everything came up roses for Westview against Del Norte in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 59-21 win. In that contest, Westview amassed a halftime lead of 36-9, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
