Softball Recap: Citizens Christian Academy's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Citizens Christian Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won by a run and slipped past the David Emanuel Academy Eagles 6-5. That's the fifth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 8-1 victory on Saturday.

Klair Mercer was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August. Emma Gourley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

The victory (which was Citizens Christian Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 26-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for David Emanuel Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-5.
