Basketball Recap: Globe Comes Up Short

Globe extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They came up short against the Sahuarita Mustangs, falling 62-42. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sahuarita's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 29th (when they won 92-61).

Leading Sahuarita to victory were Gabe Epling and Armani Bennett. Epling shot 50% from the field on his way to 20 points in addition to five assists and four steals, while Bennett made all 5 shots he took for 12 points and seven rebounds. Those 12 points gave Bennett a new career-high. Daniel Durazo was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Globe didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-48 loss against Poston Butte on the 29th. As for Sahuarita, they have also already played their next contest, a 48-44 defeat against Combs on the 29th.
