Recap: Fillmore Flashes vs. Nordhoff Rangers
The Fillmore Flashes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 35-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nordhoff. Fillmore has struggled against Nordhoff recently, as their match on Monday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Defeat or not, Fillmore got some senior leadership from Nataly Vigil who scored six points along with 16 rebounds and four blocks and Aryanne Munoz who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Fillmore's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.7 points per game. As for Nordhoff, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fillmore the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Carpinteria at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th. Nordhoff will take on Channel Islands at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
