Soccer Game Preview: Northwest vs. Lewis Central

The Northwest Wolves will head out to take on the Lewis Central Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Northwest is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Iowa's top teams: Ankeny Christian Academy, who was ranked 12th at the time (Northwest was ranked 11th). Wolves fell just short of Ankeny Christian Academy by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that Northwest have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Lewis Central fell victim to Bishop Heelan Catholic and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders.

Lewis Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4-1. As for Northwest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3-4.
