Mary Persons extended their postseason success on Thursday against Upson-Lee. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 13-2 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Mary Persons is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-14 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Upson-Lee, their loss dropped their record down to 15-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mary Persons beat the Knights by a score of 14-1 later that day.
